Makes sense - I had some Amazon gift cards to use so I was browsing the selection and was able to pick up the 6 cards without actually paying a dime out of pocket. That's the first time I've bought cards via Amazon and I honestly don't know that I would have if it didn't have COMC as the seller. Just something that gives me a nervous feeling; I'd rather trade or buy from reputable people that I've built a relationship with or know I can trust, such as TCDB members or COMC.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I love COMC. It is in my opinion the best way to buy cards. I was leery about putting money in there and leaving it there...that leeryness went away when I had spent all my available money on medicine and a card I really wanted was posted, and I was able to buy it because I had the money in my COMC account already. (I don't even remember what card it was). The "hold until ready to ship" feature is great as well. I have more than 20 cards waiting to ship to me, and if you ship 100 or more at one time they give you a $5 bonus. I enjoyed the COMC process so much I actually decided to sell some cards on there after being a strict no-selling collector for my first 28 years in the hobby. I was able to essentially get an Al Attles autograph for free from the "profit"...which isn't much because I think cards shoule be affordable to all so I price nothing over 75 cents.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Best thing I have heard in a long time, being a CDN fellow I hate having to buy in USD but that is sadly the norm and now that I don't have to upload credit that makes me very happy.

Billy, how do the fees and such work?
I know you ship your cards to them and there is a setup fee, but what about when a card sells?

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

read my prior post on this thread, i explained some ot it. basically though, there are a couple different levels of listings.. 25cents is the cheapest.. 50cent for the next per card. once you send in a batch a cards, add money to your account. it takes about 6 weeks after you send in for them to process (basic level) and list. each time they list, they deduct money from your account (25cent basic level) your card then goes into your invetory and after you set a price, it post for everyone to see. the card then sits there until sold at which point that money gets transferred to your account. they ship from there. saves you time on packing and shipping and you can make a little over time too and just re use to buy what you want on there

I like the buy and hold part of comc. I can mark the card off my want list after I buy even though it is still at comc, and then ship when I get enough to justify the postage cost.

OK I really would like to start offloading my cards and buying stuff I want. So let me see if I have this straight.
I start off by sending them 100 cards on my dime (I pay shipping). Then I have to pay more money for them to process it (looks like $30). After a few months they then list the cards. Do I set price or do they? Said items sell (hopefully), they pull it, package it, and ship it, then I get to keep what is left over as store credit? I can then use said store credit to buy some 1972 Kc Royals...lol. Seems like it is a bit of a process and some waiting to get anything of credit. I basically just want to send them my stuff have them sell it, then start buying only using what credit I have. Does this seem feasable to do using COMC?
Thanks in advance

You pay for shipping and them to process the cards. Once they are processed through your account, you can set the price. You keep 100% of the price as COMC credit. Be aware, you pay a 1 cent storage fee for any card priced over 75 cents.
Depending on what you are sending, it is doable. If you are sending commons that already have 20 listings on the site, it might not be a good idea.
