It's been about three years since I titled a forum post like this, but today, with the arrival of #683, Bill Burbach of the Yankees, I have completed the 1971 Topps Baseball Card Set. It's not the pride of my set collection; I'm still partial to the 1972 and 1975 sets, but I'm awfully happy to have all 752 cards, in pretty good shape, too. Shout out to my wife and starting daughter for their trips to House of Cards twice a year, adding a few cards on my birthdays and at Christmas. The rest came from packs opened 46 years ago, trades, and eBay. It's a pretty cool set to have. Now I get to sort them all into teams and put them back into the binder.
1970 isn't too far from done, so there might be another bragging post in a few months. Then it will be years until I complete 1969.
Keep on striving, everyone.
