So what are these actually and how do they know what is in it.  Saw some hot packs listed on ebay that guarantee autos or a Judge card.  Is this really something that exists???

Resealled packs that have good hits taken out and replaced with a low cost auto or mem

My understanding is that they can tell by the weight with an accurate digital scale.  Is that not correct?

From my understanding, that's how it works.

I've only ever bought one hot pack, back when I got back into collectiong a few years ago, because when I stopped these weren't much of a thing.

I also bought a few hobby packs as well, from the same person on ebay and snagged a SP Variation, which ended up paying for the whole lot after I sold it.

There are various ways to search for "hot" packs. YouTube has a lot of videos on the subject.
