I do hope that admin is young and healthy and the rest of you are healthy as well! There are a lot of good people on this site and I hope you eat a salad and walk around the block tomorrow before you update your David Cone wantlists. 

We log on April 1st and all of the checklists are cleared 

I've been operating under the impression that Admin is a collective group. Purely b/c no ONE person can be working on the site 24/7. Plus, Admin gave some of their abilities to us Level 8 members so we could do their job while they work on fantastic upgrades and other updates. Of the other sites I'm on, there are several Admin's. You know who they are though b/c Admin isn't their name, but their ranking or title.

I think of this site like the Borg of Star Trek. One Admin needs to drop out for any reason and someone new is assimilated to take their place.

I like you how you weaved that Star Trek reference in here considering the RCOTD that is up today. 130am post so can't be coincidence right? Or wait, you are part of the Admin collective and it just "happened" to appear.....   

I am not part of the collective, but the RCOTD did influence my reply. Too bad the card wasn't for The Next Generation though. That's where the Borg came into the franchise and is also still my favorite series of the franchise. I thought it was funny that one of the comments on that card was about not knowing that Skybox made Star Trek cards b/c I have an 1100-count box stuffed full of them with very few duplicates. AND I'm still missing a few sets!

I always thought Admin was one person, but delegated some duties to other members.  And as the site has grown, more delegation has been necessary.  Like the stuff Level 8s can do with inaccuracies.  The 10th anniversary thread confirmed my opinion in my mind.  I think other people can do certain things, but any forum post or private message from "Admin" is always the same person, in my opinion.

Also, I'm not Admin.  So you can all sleep well tonight.

Well, that knocks you off my short list of possibles....

In Admin's post of the 10th anniversary of this site, he mentioned that it started with a himself and a small group of friends. Though there is a CEO, I would expect that he does have a small staff (same group of friends still?).  But what I like about this site is how permissions to members allows all of us (or at least most of us) to have input into the site in order to make it better. I think it is what most of us have repeatedly stated, it's what makes this site the best collectors' site ever.

I wonder if another company that shall remain nameless (cause I can't even say the name without spitting - Corner Gas reference), has ever tried to buy TCDB outand then ruin what is way better than they offer?  I am sure they are well aware of what this site is and that it is better than they could ever dream of offering because this site was not built by greed.

I haven't watched Corner Gas enough to know what reference you're referring to but I want to say that was a pretty good show what little I've seen of it.  They showed it for a short time in the US on WGN but was never able to find anymore episodes, I wonder if its streaming somewhere.

The people living in Dog River would spit every time they mentioned the name of the neighbouring town.
