Bkimx great quote. If you want to learn about losing to the champs, i encourage you to watch the ESPN 30 for 30 episode called 4 Falls of Buffalo. It is still an amazing feat to make 4 straight Super Bowls and lose them all. Those were some incredible Bills teams.

I was on a runner-up team twice. Once in 9U when the other team was far better, and again last year in 15U when we made a 10-run comeback in the last inning and were one run away from tying the game when our coach sent the tying run on third home after a ground out, into a game ending double play.

Germany in the verge of beating Canada in men's hockey. What a massive upset this would be even without NHL players. Canada just pulled their goalie! less than 2 minutes 4-3 Germany!
Germany just won and will play in the Gold Medal game, WOW!!!

Germany wins! I wonder if this is the first time since women’s hockey was introduced that Canada didn’t win at least one gold in hockey. Great win for Sturm and the Germans!

In 1998 when the first Women's hockey tournament was played, the United States won Gold in the Women's tournament. The Czech Republic led by the Dominator won in the Men's tournament. So you were right.

Still think that the “Russians” will win gold. I think Datsyuk and Kovalchuk will be too much for the mostly inexperienced Germans. But, I will be pulling for the Germans.

Sorry, Darrell...this Olympics must be heck for you.
I'm enjoying it as my first Olympics as a hockey fan. If ther Germans win I think they need to figure out what Miracle on Ice is in German. (Wunder auf Eis, thank you Google Translate)
There's a lot of other great sports too. I really like Snowboardcross and Skicross, but wow is that dangerous. Snowboard cross saw a broken neck and a broken leg, forgot what the other injury was. The broken neck guy will recover, luckily. Biathlon was great too. I saw the women's event. Didn't see the men.
I do not want these games to end, but I feel that with every Olympics. At least I will be able to go back to watching the NHL and NBA again, I have mostly given them up for the Olympics. It's better than when the summer games end because I still have a long wait for those two to start up again.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Yes Billy the last two days for Canadians (not just me) have been rough. Goes to show just how even things are in the world now. Both curling teams get NOTHING and Korea is going for gold!! The best we did was silver in hockey and likewise Germany in the gold game (GO GERMANY!!) (which by my last post shows should still be celebrated) But yes coffee row this morning was pretty bleak. I am enjoying the Olys though too, we have broken a record as a nation this year with 27 medals and counting, watching Men's Big Air final right now, McMorris chokes!! =/ At least our Quebecer is still doing great. Lots of things we are great at now that we can still win medals, no longer do we need to lean on curling and hockey. They arre justy expected as hey we are Canadian!! LOL The one Canadian fellow in skicross (i think) eneded up with a fractured pelvis, 4 fractured ribs and a pulmanary contusion. OUCH! Keep the games going all, tonight has also 4 man bobsled, curling and Alpine skiing.

Is anyone working on the 2018 Topps Olympic set? I busted open a hobby box & got two autographs (one base, one gold) and two memorabilia (one material, one medallion). Lots of parallels to chase... I added the "Silver" checklist to the set. Not sure what the rationale behind the "US" & "USA" subset difference is.
I've posted my inserts & extra base cards, if anyone's interested in trading for them. I can work on some scans tomorrow, if work doesn't pile up.

A surprise gold for the US in curling! Very surprising I think.
