Got a chance to get some boxes of this cheap, Was wondering if any of you folks had busted any wax of this, and are there any inserts in regular packs?
Just something I never bought a single card from that I'm going to try to get the grandson involved in that isn't pokemon. Or I'd just buy a factory set.

The only insert is a small reprint set. One per pack I believe. It's a decent enough set, better in my opinion than the oversized set from the previous year.

This set did have inserts out of the packs. Art inserts and Lithographs inserts.
If you get and Nolan Ryans please look me up
I would think you should complete a set in 2 boxes or be dang close to it. I also have a couple up for trade if you happen to be missing a couple

I'm 11 cards and 1 variation away from a complete set. I know have a ton of dupes...somewhere.

Thanks for all the replies.
T206, usually pull Ryan's cards so anything past 2 copies I can let go. Figure I'll get at least 3 out of 2 boxes.
Splinter, oh yeah know all about "somewhere". Wish I had marked boxes better years ago before I had so many.

Got my boxes a couple days ago. Only opened 1 pack so far, which had a Nolan Ryan insert.
Anyways, was just looking at that set here in the inserts section. What's the deal with lithos and art cards? Appears to me it's the same set. Not talkiing about the Tiffanys but the base version.

I wish I knew the answer. I knew nothing about a so-called litho insert for this set until I read this thread. I've had a couple of the Art Cards over the years (Doc G. comes to mind in name and picture whenever I hear about this set). I hope someone has a real answer!

According to baseballcardpedia, the Art Cards fall one per pack.
The Lithographs are 11" x 14" and were given away in wrapper redemptions and sweepstake giveaways, they may or may not be SN to 500 as well.
I'm wondering if the Lithograph backs posted here are true, because why would a giveway item, have another giveaway on the back?

After doing some poking around, it looks like all except the Yount lithograph are not the right ones. The Yount with the wide white borders and the artist's signature - in the white border - is what they should look like. They also have a copyright on the front in the lower left.
The backs, while I didn't see any, I assume are incorrect.
Edit: Found a back, and it's plain white.
