Topps Recycles 2017by ShoTime - 370 cards (Last updated on Dec 19, 2017) |
Final update for 2017. Not every set was done, but there are still plenty of examples and plenty more that I missed.

Trout, Harper, and Posey are certainly from almost the same moment in time but are different photos. Neat list.
I am shocked, SHOCKED, that with so many silly extra sets, that Topps would reuse the same pictures. Just makes me all the happier that I collect almost nothing but the base set (and base Gypsy Queen set). Nice list. Good work. v3
I noticed an error in this list.
On page 9 cards 85 and 86.
You claim these are the same picture yet if you look at the face you can see the face is in a different position.
On card 85 he is looking straight ahead but on card 86 he is looking slightly up and to the right. While these photographs may have been taken the same day and by the same person they are not the same on both cards.
I really wish Topps would stop doing this. Very easy to snap a picture these days. No excuse for it.
I am also not convinced 1 and 2 are the same pic. Just look at the position of the hand in relation to the cubs logo.
While I do believe these photographs were taken the same day I do not think they are the same.
While it is maddening, it's nothing new. They've been doing this for decades. That being said, with the number of photos available today, there's no excuse for them recycling photos as often as they do. |
