Happy Birthday

71. 1989 Topps #650 Kirby Puckett

Born: 3/14/1961

Reason Chosen: Always was a fan of Kirby Puckett's and I wish I'd got to see him play for a few more years.

72. 1984 Topps #434 Harold Baines

Born: 3/15/1959

Reason Chosen: I always liked Baines as well and didn't realize until later how long he actually played in the league.

73. 2015-16 Hoops #26 Tim Hardaway Jr.

Born: 3/16/1992

Reason Chosen: Needed more basketball in the list, plus I liked his dad. Not much of a NBA fan these days, but like this card. Especially since he's scoring on Lebron James.

74. 2012 Upper Deck MLS #153 Danny Califf

Born: 3/1/1980

Reason Chosen: Placeholder mainly, but we'll see what happens. Not sure how many players like being sponsored by the company Bimbo, especially when their name is on the front of the jersey.

Front Placeholder

75. 2012 BP Olympic/Paralympic Games #NNO Rebecca Soni

Born: 3/18/1987

Reason Chosen: Another oddball set which I like to include. Soni won Gold in the 2008 Olympics in the 200m Breaststroke and set a new World Record in the process.

76. 2009 O-Pee-Chee - Black #141 Clayton Kershaw

Born: 3/19/1988

Reason Chosen: A parallel card from O-Pee-Chee which you don't see too often. I'm not the biggest fan of Kershaw, but I respect how good he is. He also just turned 30, which makes me feel older than I am.

77. 1989-90 Hoops #108 Pat Riley

Born: 3/20/1945

Reason Chosen: Something about Pat I've always liked so I found this card and thought this was a perfect place to keep it.

78. 2015-16 Upper Deck MVP #41 Ryan Callahan

Born: 3/21/1985

Reason Chosen: I like this card and needed more hockey. I like on the back of the card is shows how to pronounce his name, even his first name (RIGH-uhn)!

79. 2012 Upper Deck MLS #39 Kofi Sarkodie

Born: 3/22/1991

Reason Chosen: Another placeholder card, but at least I won't feel bad replacing so much soccer since I seem to have a lot. Oddly most are from this set.

80. 2006 SAGE Aspire #10 Maurice Jones-Drew

Born: 3/23/1985

Reason Chosen: Alway's liked him and I thought this was a good card. I didn't know I collected SAGE cards in 2006.

I really liked this list!  My favorites parts are the write up on the Mike Marshall card.  I have a Luke Walker from 1969 that is folded and wrinkled and trimmed because I kept it in my back pocket for good luck when I was a kid.  I wouldn't trade that card for anything now.  Also the Eddie Kennison write up brought back memories of some of the Pittsburgh Pirates boxes I bought off ebay, now I have very, very, very many Steve Cookes.

Good Job!

Thank you.  I really need to scan the Marshall card so it will show up on here.  I miss the days where buying a box off ebay was cheap enough to enjoy.  Now shipping just about kills any deal.
