This is only a slightly modified initial profile, far from complete.

From my dozen or so completed transactions, I have learned several things that would have to be addressed if you want to trade.

First, TCDB listings can be misleading, especially when TCDB added a separate variety of a set and placed all of the previously listed generic cards in one or another new category.  For example, 1977-78 Topps Basketball cards were originally listed on TCDB without consideration as to whether they were "white-back" or "grey-back" cards.  Since then, the distinction is now listed as two separate categories.  Apparently all of the prior listings were placed in the new "grey back" category regardless of whether they were "grey-back" or "white-back."  That makes it difficult to understand which back variety is available from someone's For Sale/Trade list.  Often, I am only looking for a specific card variety as I already have the other varieties.  Though TCDB created new variety listings, many longtime TCDB members have not updated their old listings to reflect the actual card varieites they are offering.

Second, as to condition, my offerings from the 1980's on are generally near mint to mint.  Specific cards I am offering from World War II to 1980 vary in condition from poor to near mint.  Often, I have several of the same card as they came from my extensive, old store stock that went into storage (10x25 feet by 6-8 feet high) in 1991-93 when I closed the shop to return to school.  The condition of an individual player's card in this quantity may differ from others of the same card.in that volume, Please ask about an individual card so that there is no misunderstanding as to condition.  Scans can be provided and may also be required of the cards a member has available.

I am primarily looking to upgrade sets with cards in the overall condition of the set.  I am really not interested in trading for a missing card if I would only have to upgrade it later.  Also, I generally do not trade older cards (pre-1980) for newer ones (post-1980), though any of my newer cards are available for a trade the other way.

For pre-World War II cards, I am collecting cards associated with California, my home state.  These cards are wanted in any condition.  Even if I have not yet listed such a card in my wantlists, it's probably still wanted. Feel free to contact me by TCDB message.

IMPORTANT.   I do not like shipping or receiving any cards with a total value over $20 without  them being sent with a tracking number.  Too many untracked envelopes get lost in the mails. Generally, tracking cost about $5 (and for valuable items insurance is more). It not only protects a shipment, but avoids any misunderstandings about whether the cards were actually shipped.

Any questions, feel free to ask.  I've been involved with TCDB members in complex trades of over 100 cards, as well as the sale and purchase of cards.  No transaction is too large or too small to not be considered.  If we work together, we can probably make a deal.
