I can't find any record that Jesper Mattsson ever played for the Las Vegas Thunder. Is this the correct photo of him? Why would he be wearing a Las Vegas Thunder Sweater if he never played for the team? He played over in sweden until he was drafted by the flames, spent some time with the Flames AHL affiliate the St John Flames & went back to Sweden. Prior to the time the card came out however he'd only played in Sweden.
There is another Classic card, 1993-94 Classic Hockey Draft which shows a Jesper Mattsson also wearing a Las Vegas Thunder Sweater. Maybe the same photo.

I don't think it's a different Jesper Mattsson because the birthdate is the same:
