Thanks for sharing. I watched the entire video.
I will grant him that there are some nice cards in there. I will also say that there are just as many questions.
Using Becket as a price guide, in my opinion is a huge mistake, and may lead him to think he has more " value" then is what is there. Having the cards " back to back " in those page holders is another concern, I would like to see the condition of the cards once removed. The gentleman also misidentified some 1986 cards as being from " the 70's ". I wish I could give that stuff away.
Again, THANK YOU for sharing. It was interesting. I will also submit, that depending on condition, some of those year books may bring more then some of the cards. Strictly MY opinion.

He said he would take $3k for it but I don’t have that kind of cask laying around

Didn't listen at all, but watched about half.
It would be interesting to see the condition on all of those. Some decent cards in there, but I didn't see anything that would jack it up to 3k. The 1982 K-Mart set - 50 cents. If anyone thinks it is worth more, let me know, I'll sell you 4 of them.
Depending on the condition, 1k might not be bad, but I'd have to look at every card (or at least the first 3 or 4 pages).

Yeah, I've traded for some of those on the first few pages, and found a few in one of my lots, and I've paid nowhere near that. I'd be concerned, too, about the condition once pulled from those pages. It seemed like they'd been put in without pennysleeves and it seemed like some were sticking. Hopefully none are ruined.
Beckett is a guide and has been a pain when in the wrong hands.

The dealers I buy from consistently bring Beckett down to about half, sometimes even less than that depending on condition, but I'd concentrate on those first few pages. Everything else, although worthy of being in anyone's collection can be traded for easily enough over time.

hmmmm.... I agree with most preceding comments. The '80s album is basicly pennyless value [except ERR/VAR], some nice extras but not worth 3K. I've bought collections big and small, back in the day and today. Certainly condition is impossible to determine on U tube. Also the seller is a bit misinformed on many cards and repeated "stars" by name. So sight unseen, and using a VERY RELIABLE source: low 10%, mid 15% and hi 20% , so $300, $450, $600 and no more. That is the nature of today's collecting, "all the icebergs will melt before he gets 3K", my 2cents.
