Hello everyone ๐ It's come to my attention that several of my trade partners have not received their cards. There are two mailboxes I have used for trading on TCDB. One is the outgoing mail slot in the lobby of my apartment building, and the other is a blue USPS mailbox facing the street in front of my school. I believe all of the trades that have not been received were dropped in the blue mailbox, so I emailed my campus mailroom, and they said I had to contact USPS. When I leave campus today, I will take a photo of the box # and reach out to USPS. It very well could be that the cards are still sitting in there. For the record, every trade I've done through my apartment's mail slot has gone smoothly with positive feedback, so I am only using that now.
Thank you for your understanding. I will do everything necessary to track down the missing cards.

Those blue mailboxes are being removed by USPS (if not already gone) in our town - even if they're in front of our three post offices. Mail theft is high in the Houston area so even old timey outdoor mail pickup is fast becoming a thing of the past because the mailman isn't the one picking it up. I hope this isn't the case for you.

The only USPS mailboxes I've seen lately are the ones outside some of the post offices.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

It’s probably not about theft. I only hear about porch pirates.
Come to think of it, the box is in an awkward location, so USPS probably stopped picking it up.

Consider speaking with your local PostMaster on this issue.

I will only mail from the drop boxes inside the actual post office, never from an outside box

Update: One of the missing transactions eaten by The Blue Box (tm) finally got delivered to its intended recipient. Thanks for everyone's patience while I get this sorted out.

All of the blue boxes in my neighborhood and in front of the post office have been changed to the ones with just a thin slot to drop the mail - no more opening doors. Basically only PWE trades can go in there for me now - bmwt have to go to the post office. I have a box in my neighborhood that is a black hole as well - I think it rarely gets picked up as several things have taken weeks to move from it. I've got all my blue boxes mapped in my general area :)

Blue boxes disappeared in front of my PO months ago, asked and they said,
they were being "Repaired".. (if you say so)....
My rant about ebay and online tracking numbers.....
Mailer gets them, then may take 3 or 4 days to get them mailed....
Most times, get ebay packages before tracking even shows the PO received them....

So, I took 2 envelopes with me to Oregon to mail when I arrived there (went to my sister's funeral) because I needed the correct postage. I didn't stop at my local Post Office as it wasn't in the same direction I was headed so I thought I would take them with me. I went to the local Post Office, paid the fee and mailed them. To my surprise neither envelope arrived at it's destination. I did a refund. There are 2 possibilities here: either they got lost in the postal universe or they arrived at their destinations. I would go with the first possibility first as I seriously don't believe my customers wouldn't lie to me. I ended up refunding both parties. So, bottom is this, I'm out the cards and I refunded. What would you have done?
