Just watched my Dave & Adam's random-team baseball box break video... and I had to brag about it somewhere :)
I wound up with the Yankees for my one entry, so I had high hopes.
Out of 11 boxes, half of which having only 1 slabbed card per box, I got four Yankee MEM or AU "hits".
The star of the show was a 1/1 '99 Topps Chrome Derek Jeter autograph from the 2017 Topps Archives Signature Series!
The breaker even called it, saying "Let's get a Jeter!"

My Autograph Collection Website Emphasis is on the 1969 Cubs. This is still a work in progress as is my collection here at TCDB. Value what you collect, don't collect for value.

That's insane! I just clicked the video link (I was working on something else until now). I bumped the video a few minutes ahead and the 1st thing I see is that 1/1 card being pulled out of the box!!! That should definitely be your new "avatar"! That Jeter would be my new pic if I had it, even though I wouldn't plan on keeping it! The card would be an easy trade for an awesome card that I'd want to keep. And of course there's the option to sell it and then buy a card I really want to own. Adding a small bit of info here, Jeter played here in Greensboro, NC for the Greensboro Hornets after the Yankees drafted him. He went to the Gulf Coast League first and then to the Hornets (later the Bats and now the Grasshoppers). He is easily the biggest MLB star to ever play for the Greensboro team. I think the next biggest names would be David Price and Giancarlo Stanton.
I would've made my best 1/1 card my profile pic on here a while ago, but there are a couple of reasons that I haven't. #1 is that the card is crowded since it's an AU and a quadruple MEM card. #2 is that it's a NASCAR card and most here wouldn't understand why it's such a great card. I would also add a 3rd/4th reason being that it's a horizontal card and the 1/1 foil stamp kinda gets lost in the scan.

I always wondered what a "mixer" break was. Heard the term many times. Now I know. You inadvertently cleared that up for me. Cool cards by the way!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

That was the third time (the charm?) that I did one of their breaks. The first two were football - got SD & NO in one (only a couple Melvin Gordon "hits" and no Saints at all), and the next time I got the Saints again (pulled a Kamara AU/MEM that time).
Unfortunately, my scanner doesn't do the "depth" scanning to do slabbed cards. I tried, but it came out too fuzzy.
I am expecting to get my Kickstarter MST3K cards soon, so one of those will replace my mis-cut "Joel Robinson" card :)

Nice I had just recently (on Wednesday) gotten an order from DAcardworld that included the 132 card 1985 Topps USFL football factory set. Rookies include: Doug Flutie, Gary Clark, and Hershal Walker. I bit the bullet their price was $104.95. I was seeing prices a lot higher on Ebay and elsewhere for the set. The 1984 Inaugural set is even more expensive. I need to get that set as well. I ordered a few other boxes of some football stuff for the Football Team Traders group at SportsCardForum I am in. My trading fodder was low or out for several teams I needed to restock.

I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42
