1968 Topps Ryan RC. I have the OPC version but the Topps set of his cards remains with one empty space.
In sets and more modern, 1979 Topps Munson and 1992 Leaf Black Gold Wiinfield. Those two sets have remained one short for years.

I'm with you there banny, sort of. At the top of my list is the 1995 Upper Deck (Racing) Electric Gold #175. It is the last piece of nonunique cardboard that I need for my Ted Musgrave PC. I've been actively looking for it since early 2000.

As someone who put together 2 1979 Topps sets back in the day, I remember the Munson was a tough card to find in packs. There were a handful of cards that even though I had about 4,000 total cards, I had to get them from another source.

Update on my post from last night. I got some money as an Easter gift and decided to check for the cards I mentioned. I have secured a copy of the 1991 Maxx Promo! It cost me $10, which is a lot for me to spend on a single card. But I rationalize it that I've been looking for one for more than 10 years and so it comes out to under $1 per year. I was correct in that the P1 number was made up by Beckett, also. It's actually #9. I'll correct it when I can but I have a lot of stuff to do with cards that are already in hand first.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Two cards in particular that I have chased for some time and not seen available anywhere.
the fisrt is a 2003 Topps gold #217 Tim Wakefield. You would think a card # to 2003 would be everywhere, but I have not seen one.
the 2nd is the 2005 Zenith Epix Black Moment #20 Ted Williams. That one is #'d to 25 and it's possible I'll never see one.

Three Mariner Moose cards. I have never seen the specific card but I have seen other cards from the set and I know that cards are included on the checklists.

A Derrie Nelson card. 1984 or 1985 or 1986 Kodak. Find out about them in 1989 and have been looking for them until a few months ago I got the 1985 one. Still looking for the others.
Why him??? He was an 8th grader when I was a senior.

Fine, I'll play. I've been stalking a T210 Double Folder of Mordecai Brown and Solly Hoffman for well over a year. Just never found one at the right price in the right condition. I've got a pretty good bid on one in range right now, so we'll see what happens in the next four days.
Once I get that, any of the T207 Cubs that I'm missing will take forever to get.

From the good old days I remember looking for '89 Tetley Tea Dawson and '90 Tetley Tea Sandberg. Never did chase those down. Then I switched to getting autographed cards of Cubs that played the '69 roster. I have the entire Jewel Tea set autographed except Hank Aguirre (deceased since 1994). Seven others in the set are deceased now. But the holy grail are signed copies of the 1970 and 1971 Topps cards of Randy Bobb. A scant 10 total games played over 1968 and 1969 and died in a car accident in 1982 makes this near impossible. I've only ever even heard of a single signed copy and never actually seen one in all my years of looking.

My Autograph Collection Website Emphasis is on the 1969 Cubs. This is still a work in progress as is my collection here at TCDB. Value what you collect, don't collect for value.
