Has anybody gone that route? It sounds a little sketchy but I see a card on ebay that I would really like. I'm just not sure I feel safe buying a card from a seller in South Korea.

I cannot say that I've gone that route.

However, the title of this thread made me think a minute.

eBay was buying an entire country? Last time I let them take a monthly charge from my PayPal.

I purchased from South Korea before & had no problem.  Shipping is higher & it took some time to get here.  The location may be listed with an APO address, which would indicate that the seller is on a military base.

I have purchased from quite a few overseas sellers over the last few years, as long as the seller has good feedback (and plenty of it) you should be fine. The only problems I have ever had came from sellers with limited feedback from China.

I believe purchasing from North Korea, not South Korea, would be the problem.

A few months back I did an itchy trigger finger purchase from a seller in China. Was just so damn happy to purchase the card I didn't notice where it was coming from until after I had committed to the purchase. Fortunately I received the card I had purchased and within only 3 or 4 weeks not the projected 2 to 3 months Ebay had listed.
