Do any of you guys know exactly how the box order feature works on Sportlots? It looks like you can save a lot on shipping, but you have to have two or more orders going at once? Or something like that. I've ordered several times from different sellers on there, but always paid full shipping charges.

Yeah, it's been explained before on another thread. I ordered using the system and in the long run you save when purchasing from various vendors because instead of paying full postage from each vendor, you pay a minimum for them to ship to a central location, and then when you choose to have them ship you'll pay whatever the scale shows on the one combined package. (It's basically the way COMC does it, just the terminology is slightly different.)

I use it too and it's great. The biggest thing I try to do is load up and order from those sellers that offer $0 shipping to the Box and after that there are plenty more that will do it for under a $1. Sometimes my biggest discriminator on what I will spend on a card is the $ after shipping when going to the box. Mind you, you'll have to be willing to be patient on receiving your cards. Shipping from the Box is easy enough, usually get the shipment in 3 days. Some sellers, when shipping to the box, can take up to 10-14 days to get them to the Box. Considering that those are usually the ones shipping for free I don't complain. Then again, I also don't ship straight from the Box. I had 4 different orders stacked up there once and I have 3 larger ones standing by.

Yes !!! You ship it directly to Sportlots. When you click on Fill to Box, there is a camera that you can click on, and it shows you the process to follow to ship.. Mike

I did not save any money on my 6 small orders I combined
I paid 4.33 in (reduced) shipping to box and 6.16 in shipping from box to me
I usually would have paid about 1.00 each in shipping for 1-4 cards for budget ship
I see the potential for some folks to save in some situations, especially canada.
like posted above, each seller has their own postage rates, both direct and to box.
Some sellers charge same to ship to box as shipping direct, and some reduce their ship costs.
the process was easy to deal with, but I think shipping direct works better for me with the small nature
of my orders.

Smaller orders can be cheaper direct, but in my one box order I certainly saved several dollars and it was about 60 cards from four vendors.

Normaly I will only buy from 2 maybe 3 vendors. The last order I purchased from 8 vendors. Half of the vendors I would have not ordered from because they have only 2 or 3 cards I need. (.18 to .35 cards) Now I can get them for little shipping cost. Last order did not save a lot of money but purchased more cards for the same amount spent.

Are there some similar sites as Sportlots besides COMC? I like these prices Sportlots has much more than those of COMC´s. They just don´t ship to Europe.
