Oh, they not only walk, they hide!  That's why my offers and trades are such a mess. Slowly straightening them out. I'm actually finding it easier recently to find stuff, guess that's a good thing.

well today starts the big organizational project, thanks for all the advice

Soomeone once said, "Given an hour to plan and execute an operation, I would take 59 minutes to plan and 1 minute to execute."  Great words of advice for a big or smale scale task.

It's been 3 years planning, and still haven't executed  

So got the room all cleaned out , and the new shelves all made, perfect time for a nap and let the sport cards fairies reload the shelves for me, when out of the blue my lovely wife offers to help!!!!!!!!. she offered to throw away half of the boxes for me so i wouldnt have to put them away, what a great woman. Know im afraid to nap

I finally finished my reorganization of my cards Sunday night. It has only taken me three years.

I have any of the brand's i collect in binders. Topps baseball football and hockey. UD hockey. Bowman hockey. Fleet baseball. Score football.

Other complete sets in individual boxes that are all stored in a bin. 

Any sets that are over 60% in individual boxes stored in a bin.

All dups sorted by year then set them number in 5000 count boxes.

Everything else in 3000 count boxes sorted the same as dups.

The boxes are labeled for baseball HOF dups.

Memorabilia

Random which include oddball cards, sets under 60%, insert cards, and anything else that doesn't fit into any other category.

All my extra cards that are available for sale/trade are on an excel spreadsheet. Each set has its own filename, one page per year of release. Example: Topps & Topps Traded share the same page per year including subsets and parallels but Topps Prime has it own seperate file. I list all cards in the set, even if there is only one in my collection. That makes it easier if I get any more for that same set. There are columns to list how many of each I own, leaving it blank if there are none.
