Hi all, about a month ago I decided to pull all my cards out of the closet and add them to this site, at 1600+ entered and that may be 5%. These cards are from the '90's and 2000's. My colection of HOF'ers is getting big! Anyways, my question is on pricing, if I enter a price of a card will that effect everyones elses prices or just my database?
thank you
Robert

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'm gonna regret this (or everyone is), but is that answer accurate? Or perhaps the better word is "complete?" The original poster's question was actually ambiguous. If you enter a price in your own card details, I do not believe it has any effect on the price of the card everyone sees. If you "officially" enter a price in the price-entering thingy, then it affects the price everyone sees. Right?
Just want the new member to get good info....And for me to have good info.

a way to find out would involved 2 people, with the same card, one enters a price and the second persons card eaither stays the same or matchs the new price, then we know. the card price can then be put back to zero.(hopfuly)

I'm pretty sure that adding a price in "detailed add" from a set checklist is only visible to the person who enters it. Adding a price from the card's own page by clicking "add price" or the price listed as "med. price" (below the scan box or image) is visible to everyone and counts towards the median price. You can also enter a price with "detailed add" at the bottom of a single card's page in the same way as from a CL.

I concur with spaz, never done it but I am sure that is correct. You can add prices on here somehow without it affecting others.

That is correct. In the Detailed Add you can put any price without it impacting the median price. Especially useful for trading/selling vintage lesser grade cards.

Kari I am buying pre-1987 Non Sports. Let's discuss if you have any for sale, even if not listed here. --------------------------------------- There are no bad days.

Makes sense
Detailed add price: For the individual collector
TCDB Price page: changes the price for everybody
Now, I'm not saying this from experience, but sounds right. Guess somebody needs to test the waters.
