Well, apparently it was five years ago today that I stumbled into and joined this site. I don't remember precisely what brought me here, most likely researching what the four weird baseball coins I had were (1971 Topps, it turns out). And I want to say that I felt immediately at home here, welcomed, and among my people. This site has helped me expand my horizons in collecting -- going beyond Topps and adding modern Gypsy Queen cards into the collection. It has allowed me, without judgment, to share my quirky side and express my opinions. It has helped me maintain, and grow, my enthusiasm for collecting. It has introduced me to some interesting people -- albeit superficially through posts only. And it has helped keep me sane and not bored, whether I've had money to buy more cards or not. It has also given me a wealth of information and made me feel like I've shared some information.
I hope I've contributed to the site half as much as the site has given me. I've tried to be useful where I can, submitting some scans and corrections and checklists and information on the forums (fora?). And I've tried to amuse and inspire in my own little ways, mostly through forum posts -- this one will mean I've posted an average of 247 times a year, which is ridiculous, but also far short of others. I've made a few trades, mostly stayed out of trouble. Paid it forward and got paid forward. And got my own face on two cards!
Anyway, I'll stop now, because it's not like I'm leaving or dying or anything. I just wanted to thank all the people here who have contributed in their own little way to my happiness. I appreciate it a great deal.
So Cheers, Everyone. To another five, ten, etc., years.

Ditto to Billy and Mark's replies! The site is better with you here, just as your collection is better because you are here. Cheers to the next five years!

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them. |

Congrats V3. I always enjoy your insight in the fora, except maybe in the fall of 2016. Stick around. We like ya here.

Thanks.
Yes! Vytas was on twice and actually spells his name like I do, unlike washed up Lithuanian playboy dead tennis player Vitas Geruliatis.
