Always looking for Blackhawk hockey, Notre Dame Football, White Sox and Bears Stuff. I have a plaque in my card room that says, "I could have been a millionaire but my mom threw out my baseball cards". How apropos!!! Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

Thanks for sharing that great article! I'm about a 2.5 hour drive from the Carl Sandburg home. Now I have a better reason than his Lincoln biography and goat breeding history to go take a visit.

I visited the Sandburg home years ago. It was one of my favorite old famous person homes to visit, mostly because it was left in essentially the same way it was when he died. You could almost feel him there. And it's in a beautiful area. And, apropos of nothing, Ryne Sandberg is my favorite player.
