A few weeks ago I bought a $20.00 box(is this a blaster?) of 19 Topps Heritage at a local Target. Today I bought one of the $10.00 35 card boxes(is this a blaster?) at a different local Target. I ended up with 24 duplicates between the 100 and some odd cards I got. This is totally unacceptable to me. Has anyone else had this issue? I don’t think it’s a coincidence I’ve had similar issues with other Topps products.

Funny while on an extended drive today I came across a podcast called “all about the cards” and they spent a portion of an episode talking about this same issue. Here is the link to the episode.

I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'm confused...you bought two different types of packs at two different stores weeks apart and are angry at Topps for having duplicates in the packs? How in the world is that the fault of Topps? Seems more like a statistical oddity than anything else.

The $20 boxes (with 8 packs in them) are referred to as the "Blaster" or "Blaster Box".
The $10 box is a "Hanger Box" (since it has the hole to hang from the metal peg on the shelf).

That seems more of a bad luck situation since they were different products in different places. I bought a hanger of 3 packs of Opening Day yesterday and the first 3 cards in each pack were the same. That was pretty lame.

I would say it’s anomaly if I haven’t had similar issues with other Topps products. I heard somewhere that they emphasize certain cards in given regions. And nearly 1/4 of the cards is too much for coincidence I’m my opinion.

Topps' colation is horrible. I've been howling about this for a number of years.
