Greetings from Yuma, Arizona...
Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to everyone. I am a new collector, mainly of non-sports and game cards. It seems most of what I have is not listed here, so have probably been driving the moderators crazy with submitting new sets...
Also have some vintage Japanese Menko cards on order, and Japanese Animation cards, which can have graphic images, so dont know if those sets would be allowed on here...

I'm not a hoarder, it's a "collection".... Joseph

Welcome! Always good to have another non-sports collector. We can only list what we know about, so somebody coming along with knowledge about stuff we don't know about is always welcome. Adult content can be listed, either in the Pin-Ups section or in other sections. However, if in other sections, please let Admin know before uploading scans so the filter can be turned on for that set. It's something only Admin can do. Just copy the address bar and send them a private message with the set listing. Title the message "Adult content filter request" or something and they will take care of it pretty quickly.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Good morning and welcome to the site.
Any question do not put it off just ask, and you will get a answer. I came here 2 1/2 years ago and never left. I try and help out when I can with what I can and never assume I am correct before I make a change. I mostly post and edit scans of cards but I only do ones I know when it comes to cropping as I do not want to crop out something that should be left in image or leave something that should be cropped out.
This site was like IMDB when it was member maintained and edited. It is now owned by Amazon, but we are still independent. But they have expanded to everything now from Movies to TV and online, we still only do Trading cards.
Look at forums ever day and fell free to add your knowledge and opinion.
Welcome again from Philadelphia PA area
Robert

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

Welcome to the site. Don't sweat driving anyone crazy; contributions are always welcome. If you can add to areas that may be lacking that makes this site just that much better. Don't hesitate to ask questions on here, everyone does at some point and sometimes leads to great, or interesting, forum threads. You'll find like-minded collectors before too long. Heck, you'll find that on some things members who don't specialize in your area will lend a helping hand. Have to ask considering your Yuma location and interest in Japanese Menko & anime; Marine background?

Tired and trembling I am descending, will I have to stay here and live this life again?

Welcome to the Database.
Yes the gaming section and non-sports are not as well up-to-date as all the sports. Two big reasons: First almost obvious is most of the members here are sports card collectors and barely know what game cards are. Second the Non-Sports section for a long time was only a handful of sets and the Gaming section was only added a couple years ago when someone realized that MTG and YuGiOh was a big thing with card collectors.
I also collect non-sports but am very very picky about which ones that interest me.
-------------------------------
I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42

Welcome, and I can only speak for myself, but you aren't driving me crazy. I welcome getting the sets listed that we were missing. (It helps when you provide links to pics and/or checklists in the add requests, thank you.)
It's true that our Gaming/Non-Sports areas are not as robust as the sports areas, but as noted, we are crowd-sourced, and we're only as strong as our membership is. Gaming/Non-Sports has not been represented by as many members here as the sports (especially baseball) has been, but that's also very typical of the trading card hobby. Baseball has always seemed to be the most popular (hobby-wise, even if it's not TV-wise), followed by football, basketball, and hockey. Even though non-sports cards have been around just as long as baseball cards, they never were as popular, for whatever reason. And that level of popularity perpetuates through to the level of activity on here.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).

Welcome. I've been to Yuma once in 1980 with the navy. So the pilots could use the desert for target practice. I guess it was easier to hit, since it didn't move so much. I still have a tee-shirt that says "where the hell is Yuma"

Welcome to the site. Always good to have more people who collect different stuff.
-------------------------------
I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
