j/k
But now that I have your attention... do we have a preferred naming convention for the SLU cards?
In the database I see set titles beginning with:
- Kenner Starting Lineup
- Hasbro Starting Lineup
- Starting Lineup
- Pacific Kenner Starting Lineup
At some point around 2000 I think the name Kenner was dropped and Hasbro started using their own name. At a minimum "Starting Lineup" should have the company name added in front. Pacific (and others) should probably have the name dropped.
Thoughts?

The only one of this kind of I have is this one. I got it off COMC and the set is listed as Kenner Starting Lineup.

Kenner made the figurines and cards; Kenner Starting Lineup
Hasbro made the figurines and Pacific made the cards; Pacific Starting Lineup
Hasbro made the figurines and Upper Deck made the cards; Upper Deck Starting Lineup
Just my opinion on how they should be named.

Topps made the cards at least one year. So did Fleer.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I totally agree with C2C on this one. Since the cards are the only thing being documented here, the card manufacturer should be listed before the figure manufacturer if they aren't the same. It's the same thing with die-cast products that came with cards. The cards come first in the title.
I'm still working on a CL for a set of Press Pass cards that were released only in die-cast car boxes but still not listed on this site. The set name will start with Press Pass, not the die-cast maker.

On a related subject, do you think that this type of set qualifies as a "Major Release" or should they be in another category?
I've always thought that they were more closely related to "Food Issue" type cards, even though the product they are packaged with isn't food. Does a "Food Issue" have to come with food, per se, or does it apply in a broader sense to any card that is a product premium?

I agree with Billy, Major Release for these is good. However, Billy, I can guarantee you that TRU was selling cards at the same time as SLUs were just coming onto the market (we packaged a couple Star Co sets special to be sold at TRU in 1988 - Fernando Valenzuela and Gary Carter). Plus, I remember buying cards at TRU before that.

Not Major Release. This has come up before. From the FAQ:
Major Release
National, pack-based or factory set release by a major card manufacturer.
