Hey all - here's an interesting one for you. I just bough two hobby boxes of the 1994 Upper Deck Fun Pack (36 packs with 5 cards in each...360 total cards). I had a mostly typical mix, completing about 75% of the 240 card set. However, after going through the checklist, I had not one single card from the 18 "Standouts" collection. I had many of the others, but zero of the eighteen cards of this part of the set was part of the 360.

Now either an outrageously statistically bizarre anomaly has occurred, or I'm missing out on some information. Anyone know what's going on with this? Thanks for your help!

I don't know how those work, but something similar happened to me with '92 Fleer Baseball, as only two of the Clemens inserts were in the box. I expected a few more. My box was sealed and purchased from a very reputable dealer. Were yours?

Your math for one; 36 x 5 = 180

180 per box, 360 total for both

Yea - I bought them from a card shop.  The packs were sealed with Upper Deck plastic stamping and each pack was sealed in an aluminum foil pack.  Either someone really wanted to mess with someone and go through a lot of work, or something else is up.  Thus the enjoyment of the hobby...

Beckett mentions that many dealers believe this subset were short printed.
