So I just came back from my LCS and the owner has told me that he is going to have to increase the prices on package of standard 3" x 4" toploaders by a quarter. He said he really tried to make it work but the suppliers are just wanting too much for them. This comes after the Wal-Mart stores here in town have boosted their prices for toploaders by a $1 extra per package.
Have the prices increased where you buy card supplies? Do you think there is an increased demand for them, or a steady demand that has never dropped?

I get mine either through eBay or direct from Ultra Pro or BCW by the case. Tends to be the cheapest way. I buy them once in a while from a shop or a show and they heven't seemed to move price-wise. But, your LCS has more to pay for than these big companies.

I've never bought toploaders. Yet I have a large stockpile of them from trades, PIFs received, cards I buy at the LCS, and ebay buys.
The only supply I buy are pages. I get those on Amazon. So maybe Amazon might have the best price for toploaders.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I guess since I store my cards in binders or boxes, with a few exceptions like the oversized Bowman and Topps Big sets, I don't use top loaders. Those I do have, and I've got plenty, have come from trades as well.

Same. My collection is all in binders or moving to them as I organize.
