I checked to make sure this card didn't exist and found no evidence anywhere, but with this Ebay seller.
I sent him a note explaining that this wasn't produced as such.

I know almost nothing about basketball cards and even less about football, so I might be completly off the mark here. If Proset and Skybox are the same company then that card could be legit, although not any sort of an error. It wan't uncommon for the company to use the front or back of one product to test out the next line of product they were about to print. If that is the case here then that item was meant to be destroy.
If Proset and Skybox are 2 seperate companies then that is nothing more then buffoonery.

That was the first thing I checked and at least the home offices were in different states at the time. Pro Set was in Dallas and Hoops (not Skybox - another error on the seller) in North Carolina. I don't know if they shared printing facilities, but doubt they'd test as you say primarily because they were different companies.

Sheesh at least get two products that are made by the same company to make it believable. Who thinks these things up? Oh right some schmo who is looking to make an extra buck or two.

Sent the seller a message explaining the impossibility. Here's their response:
"No idea if it’s origin. It is however not 2 cards put together. That’s all the help I can offer. Thank You"

Those too good to be true cards on Ebay, think of them as spam or telemarketers. 99% of the receivers will see it as crap and simply delete it / hang up, but there's a 1% of suckers who take it for real and pay the price. That's what justify them to continue. They probably don't care if we all think it is fake or not as long they have that 1% willing to buy their story and cards and then Ebay doesn't really care about what's sold on the platform as long they get their cut.
