I'm still finding the little $4-5 mini Fairfield boxes at Target and shockingly at Walgreens. So far, I haven't done too bad. I pulled an Upper Deck Indians relic and some early to mid 80's cards not long ago. Got one today and on the front was a 2014 Topps Orange parallel which made up for how much I paid for the whole thing since I'm starting a pc of them. Pulled at least 25 2012-2013 Topps base cards so not bad considering how much I paid. I'm thinking they aren't bad at all.

Been awhile (4 years) since this thread had been posted on so I thought I would get it going again. Recently I bought 2 football and 2 baseball boxes from Walgreens. I did pretty decent since it only cost $5. In football I pulled 2011 Topps RCs of Julio Jones x2, Demarco Murray and Jake Locker, a Jason Hill Autograph, Kevin Greene Topps RC, and 2 packs of 1995 Skybox Impact. Baseball ended up being 2 2016 NY Mets team sets, 2004 Alex Romero Bowman Sterling RC Auto, 2 2018 Topps Opening Day packs with on containing the Ohtani RC. Also pulled a few Buccaneers and White Sox cards that I did not have in my collection. $20 spent, 350 cards and lots of fun sorting.

I love the repacks. Wide variety and usually some good cards for the money spent.

Bought a Fairfield box today - $5 for 75 cards, a pack, and a TeenyMates figurine.
I didn't get any major hits, but I got a lot of low-level cards of good players: Reggie White, Phil Rivers, Frank Gore, Travis Kelce, Warren Moon, Reggie Wayne, Gonzo twice, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, etc. The best might be a 2000 Topps Kurt Warner.
Anyway, I plan on buying another one next time I'm near the Walgreen's.

I saw the best cards of my generation destroyed by creases, soft cornered hysterical edge wear, dragging themselves through the hobby shops at dawn looking for a top loader...

I'm guessing the TeenyMates don't qualify for listing here, even though 1 series has a Pocket Profile. It's cool with the puzzle pieces and figurines, and getting them in the box of cards is cheaper than buying the TM's individually.

I once bought one of those clear plastic holders that had like 200 card with two current packs and a "hit". Most times, I get no name autos or jerseys... That one--4 Factory set variation Bryce Harper Rookies from 2012 Topps.
Between that and the odd-ball stuff, I love the repacks...

I was just flipping thru some old posts and came across this one. I was aware of repacks at many stores including the many Dollar Stores. I didn't know they were so popular especially amongst our members.
Like I don't have enough to do, but doing my own repacks for BOBSCARDZ [website], might actually be an interesting idea. I mean the cards wouldn't be uncirculated but certainly in great shape. I could follow the "Repack" format or create my own. Interesting thought???
And, I could make them available to TCDB members, if you were interested, A would at least give me something to work on if members are interested. Remember, my house isn't any different than a Card Shop with Millions of cards that are dupes. And I cover '70s - 2000, most sports and non-sports cards, as well as some mememorabilia.
Just LMK your thoughts, ~BOB~

Fairfield had a new kind of repack in my local Walgreens the other day so i picked up two of them. Inside each is a Hobby pack, 2 retail packs and one loose card that they put in the front window with a star player. Both repacks had 2013 Panini Prizm for the guarenteed hobby back, 2018 Topps Chrome Update, and 2018 Topps Series 1 were the 2 retail packs in each. The box also says that high end packs will be added to random boxes. The Prizm packs were ok, and i listed everything here to trade, same with the Series 1. The Chrome packs were actually the stars of each box with the winner being a 2018 Topps Update Red Refractor Autograph of Andrew McCutchen SN 3/5. I have it for sale on eBay with current bid of $149.99!
So i will definitely be buying more of these if they are in Walgreens next time I stop in.

One idea I had Bob was that if you were to do such a thing would be to make a list of the best hits you are including. So for example: Maybe you create 50 packs of 100 cards per pack you might want to list what the 10 biggest hits are in the 50 pack lot. I would think that might help generate interest.
I would add that if you are looking to do this you may be better off doing a JOR (basically like a raffle) like they do on some of the collecting facebook sites I am a member of. You can probably move a lot of stuff more quickly.

I have purchased a fair share of the 75 cards plus one pack $5 boxes. I haven't purchased one in quite a while though because the thought of how long it would take me to get them properly organized into my collection turns me away. I don't have much time to spend on the hobby nowadays, and at least when you buy cards for one set at a time they all go in the same place.
