I get what you are saying but when I have gotten 3 of his cards some with lower print runs for the same price of that 1 card it kinda makes you go uhhhhhh... That and seriously if he hasn't moved the card for that long why not drop it a dollar to move it? It's not like he is making any money off it just sitting there and relisting it over and over. And that's what stops me I want the card. But man I think about the 1/1 card I got of the same player for $3 it kinda sours the purchase.

One sold on COMC for $4.66 and there is one on Sportlots listed at $12. If you click on the details button, there is a page that loads that allows you to make an offer. (Private message me if you don't have a Sportlots account and would like some haggling assistance.)

I would continue to resist that one listing. Burbank sucks. They always list cards for at least the book value PLUS shipping. I have a few of their cards on my watchlist, just b/c I haven't acquired them from someone else yet. I still won't buy from them. Even if the book value drops, they won't change their price for at least 6 months. Steel City Collectibles does the same thing on eBay, but they occasionally drop a percentage off for a few days at the end of a BIN auction. I bet SCC even has the cards listed cheaper on their own website though (just haven't checked). Card stores try to make up for the ebay/Paypal fees when they list on ebay, but many of them sell for much cheaper on their own sites. Burbank has ALWAYS had the highest prices for cards and boxes and they rarely lower the price they want!

Getting away from the helpful practical advice you've already gotten on where to get that card, I shall address the, er, philosophical issue. At some point, if there's a card I really want that I can't seem to find elsewhere, I just buy. It's about the collection in the end, and if I paid an extra 10 or 20 percent to finally just have my card, I'm ok with that. Only after extensive searching and waiting, mind you. Of course most of the cards I seek aren't THAT rare. But if I'm looking for a vintage cards in, say, VG/EX condition it can be hard to find. They're either too good or too poor for my tastes. So when I finally see just the right card, I might pay a bit extra. It's only a few bucks.
That said, I refuse to buy from certain sellers who I believe perpetually overprice. I just won't reward them. Sounds like this might be one of those sellers. So you might want to wait it out.
That wishy-washy enough for you?
Good luck.

how much overpriced are we talking about?
7.00 for a 5.00 card? or 2.00 for a 1.00 card?
I would go for it and buy now since you have already done plenty of research and waiting...

Burbank wants $9.60 + $2.50 shipping for this $5.00 card. It's typical Burbank, they list even 15-cent commons at 99 cents plus $2.50 shipping.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

You guys are lucky, majority of the rarer stuff I'm after on eBay is always priority shipping which adds $20+ to the cost so whether it is a $1 over or not I'm paying extra, do like to buy from comc due to cheap shipping but some commons are expensive

I think that is slightly high, but it is a not a large nomber of editions, being that there are only 50. To be fair, the card also looks pretty sharp in my opinion, so in total, I can sorta see the reason for the price, but I see your point as well.
