Maybe this is legitimate, but it smacks of at least bad business.
I had a birthday and family gifted me with some extra cash so I've been strategically looking to buy cards that are very hard to trade for because of scarcity or lack of matches. In this case I recently traded for a few cards from the 1986 Dairy Pak Football set and fell in love with the oddballs. Well I found some reasonably priced and decided to buy them. Then, this.
My money was refunded, but my skepticism kicked in and I decided to check if maybe they are being resold, and they are, sort of.
Again, maybe it was legitimate, but it still bothered me enough to avoid this seller. At least send me an email explaining a mistake, but I didn't get anything from him (or her) except a generic email from Ebay.

That's just weird. I've bought an item on eBay before and been quickly refunded just to find that the seller relisted the same item for more money. But in this case, I'm not even sure those are the same cards? Out of curiosity, I found the listings. I compared the Dan Marino in the lot you bought versus the ones in the new lot and I actually think they're cut out differently. There also just seems to be quite a few names that are in one listing but not the other. Very strange.
Anyway, yeah, that sort of thing just leaves a bad taste in your mouth as a buyer. If I was in the same situation, I'd also avoid the seller and just go buy cards from someone else. Even if they cost a bit more. Just because it's that annoying.

Yeah I spent my money elsewhere.
I believe he may have made a double listing with overlap, maybe. I probably would like the second one more, but, yeah, bad taste for sure.

This has happened to me and some friends quite a few times recently. Also, glad you like the Dairy Pak cards I traded you!

Been there recently myself. Won an auction for $1. (81 Fleer Stickers set) but immediately afterwards I got the cancel email and refund. "Item is not available or damaged" despite several sets being offered on the seller's site. No bueno

I do love them. The oddball set for the oddball person.

I can probably part with some if the price is right.
All my cards are scanned into the set https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/101081/1986-DairyPak-NFL-Players-Superstars-Series

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I've had similar experiences, where the seller canceled the transaction after it was paid for saying the listing wasn't right, and ebay sent a msg saying buyer canceled the sale. I've even had a seller say its no longer in stock (then why wouldn't you end the eBay auction then) I really don't like the "eBay tracking" that says delivered and you don't get it for another week.

About a month ago I vewed a card on Ebay. The dealer raised the prive after my viewing. I end up buying the card from another dealer at a lower prive than the original listed price.
