His Wagner card is trimmed and the crook who sold it to him is in prison. Still the most famous copy of the most famous card in the world, so I wouldn't mind seeing it.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'll be going to Phoenix in a few weeks to visit my mom. I think I've just added something else to do while there. That gives me Celtics vs Suns, a Cactus League game, this exhibit, and a trip to the Musical Instrument Museum. Hmmm, doesn't leave much time to visit with my mom...

You mean Bruce McCall (?) right? The owner of the Kings at the time, as the article states that it was Wayne Gretzky, and he no crook!! LOL

Yeah, Mastro was the crook who went to prison for fraud involving this card. McNall is also a crook who went to prison for fraud, but that was bank fraud. He also had questionable dealings in his coin collecting. The card has had a few owners since Gretzky, who was not a crook and didn't go to prison, except to visit McNall.
