Here's the transcript of DeJoy's speech which expounds a bit on the probable increase.

And what if USPS loses an enelope with tracking. I sent one out on April 19th. Last scan was April 23rd. Then nothing. I ask where it is. The person that it was sent to is in the west coast and I'm on the east coast. I'm wondering when or if the trader is going to ever see it.
Fingers crossed!!!

Im not the bothered by a price increase, but how about a service increase as well??? Even if they just changed the description of the service....just today had someone ship cards with tracking where they paid for 2 day delivery ($10 for 2 cards??? not my choice but Im not paying for it)...estimated delivery is 3-4 days. Had a pckg with tracking sit at drop off site for a week, saw it marked as arriving in my city and then went to New Jersey and back, so the estimated 4 day delivery was over a month. Local PO calls tracking 4 day maybe, as in maybe it will arrive in 4 days and maybe it won't

1000% this . Fine if you want to charge "more" but with those increases BETTER come increased service not the same very bad service that occurs 99.9% of the time

Idea. Have a map of the United states divided into zones with estomated days to deliver the mail. Media mail, Priortity mail. Express, Etc.
I know if you look on a u-line catalog, pretty sure its on the back.

Yeah, I mean I don't wanna pay more, but there had better be an improvement on service. The USPS has now lost 3 different low-numbered SN cards of mine in the last 6 months and misdelivered several other packages (that I managed to track down at other houses in the neighborhood).

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

I received a package today from Hawaii. The previous tracking number scan was "departing Honolulu", then "arrival at unit" (in Phoenix, AZ). Obviously, the package went through multiple hubs & transfer stations in between, but it shows that tracking numbers are only good if they are utilized. I'm not complaining (since it arrived safely), but had it been lost somewhere along the way no one would know where to even start looking for it.

A tracking number does just that. Track.. nothing else.. it's all on the postal person depending what mail bucket they place it into. Then it goes off in that direction.Funny thing for me. The only lost mailing was only going 45 miles away..

Ooooh, 60 cents to have someone come to your door pick up a letter, bring it anywhere in the continental United States, and deliver it directly to another person's door. In about three days. Outrageous!
