I passed on my 1st chance at one of these the other day...for...2022 topps fat pack. I definitely think I made the wrong choice. Walgreens mystery box for me next time!

I reluctantly own the card, the pain of that day remains. Again, that's not a good card at all.

I'd say my luck has been 50/50. Usually it's loaded with 'junk wax' like 1987-1993 Topps, Donruss, and Fleer. You get the picture. But, I've pulled a Topps Bryce Harper rookie, a few relics including a common Triple Threads relic, and some late 70's commons. Lately I've been buying a few 2022 Topps jumbo packs from Walgreens. Kind of regretting it now, nothing great. Thinking about trying another $4.99 box....

I have this feeling whenever I hear or see the double doink. There was less on the line in that game. *shivers.*

As a big Notre Dame, which is just down the street, I like to refer to Clark's catch as the great Joe Montana's throw!

I enjoy these boxes. They have taken a great decline in quality but every once in a while it never hurts.

The football boxes are mostly disappointing for me. So many Sage Hit cards though usually there are a few nice Pro Set cards. I've had better experience with the baseball boxes. The sealed pack in today's box was a 2021 Topps A&G that had a relic. A couple months back, I had a box with two different Barry Larkin rookie cards.
Either way, they're inexpensive ways to scratch that itch to rip a pack and get some cards you haven't seen before.

Collecting White Sox, Royals, and 1978 Topps Baseball. Trying to build a multi-sport HOF frankenset. Done is better than perfect.

Similarly, I refer to the game as The Fumble because Danny White was driving the Pokes into scoring position except for fumbling on a sack to basically end the game.

I live in Mexico so when I went to Mississippi for Christmas after 2 years of a closed border I went wild with the 4.99 Walgreen Baseball and Football boxes. One thing I noticed was the one 70s baseball card in each football box. Got two autographs and 1 1960s football card. I like the extra unopened pack which has made me a unopened pack collector now. I liked finding the Gunslinger boxes with the card of the long haired dude from Clemson.

I would rather lose a game that way than with a field goal. I hate those.
