If I come across it and its not yet scanned I scan it. Doing my PC of Tigers, but just yesterday my 6 yr old had out a bunch of Skylanders cards. After he went to bed I saw that a majority of them were not yet in the DB so I scanned them in. The thing I love about this site is that no matter the card, it deserves to be archived.

RE: Ortiz. You can add his steroid issue to the mix.

The roids issue doesn't really even bother me. If the league didn't want them using, they should have done something about it a lot sooner. They knew about it, and let it go on for years. Why did the FEDs even need to waste tax payers' dollars to investigate it? That's what bugs me most about it.
It's not like cheating is a new thing, you get older you need to use any advantage you can to stay in the game. Is it worth your health, and dying a lot sooner? If so, have at it. Not to mention, it's only cheating if you get caught.

Well, they got caught. Sosa caught twice, one for roids and also for corking his bat.

I've never skipped scanning a card, but I do feel a twinge every time I come across one of Rob Moroso. He was a very talented rookie in NASCAR when he killed himself and an innocent passer-by in a drunk driving crash.
A race car driver ought to know better.

I will scan al cards I have no matter who. As for their on and off field attributes, that is another discussion. We all have our issues with different players; I am sure most Red Sox fans like Ortiz, personally he is in with the steroid group not far behind Barry Bonds as I watched his head bloat because of the use.

Yeah, I heard. But by that point, I didn't care. I liked, and still like Sosa, wish he hadn't done all that, but at the end of the day I guess he did what he had to do to try to keep that paycheck coming in.
Now look at Bonds, who in their right mind wouldn't know at the time he was juiced? He went from being an average sized player, to being the Hulk, nearly overnight. Still he hit all those homers, and the record still stands.

Oh, I would not scan OJ Simpson as well. Only way I would scan one of his cards would be if I knew that scanning was taking some of the life out of him. Sort of like modern voodoo. I would sit all day and scan him.

I have no problem scanning and adding any card of any player or person. After all, it's just a piece of cardboard (or paper or plastic or some combination therein these days). As all these cards are of human beings, they all have made mistakes, big or small. It's what makes us all human.
