this message is to inform others - admins remove if deemed inappropriate

this site is GREAT for adding cards and trading away (thus someone else adds to their collection) those cards that you really dont want anymore (and finding cards that you never knew existed!)

i had a couple of bumps (wrong card sent :( in my first 50 transactions and when informed I corrected them - sending the correct card

my transaction with bobberkill had a missing card from them - bobberkill sent many cards for missing that 1 (ONE) card!!!!! (said they had too many cards - is that possible?!!?)

Im sorry to hear you havent received my envelope. I am a veteran on this site with over 500 completed trades and this is only the second time someone has reached out saying they didn't get it. While I would rather you get your cards obviously, my profile states that I feel it is an accepted risk in these trades, that sometimes the mail isn't as reliable as we all would like and sometimes it might not get there. In my over 500 trades I have not received my package 6 times and it has happened to me twice now. I have never ask for replacements, and people have been fine with that. One person, we mutually agreed just to not do business together anymore, which I don't take offense to. Its part of this hobby and it is what it is in my opinion.

In your transaction manager, there is an option in the pull down status bar labeled 'Problem'. That might be the better way to handle issues like this, especially due to threads reporting trades taking time due to slow mail. A few weeks wait shouldn't be too much of a worry. 

I’m sure many will chime in, but I have had several trades take over two weeks to arrive, both to me and from me, so your first “complaint” is a bit early in my opinion.  I even had a trade that was only going 20 miles take 2 months only to be returned to the sender.  I went and picked up the envelope from him and it was addressed correctly and post marked correctly, just hit a dead spot in the system some how.
I don’t think I have traded with Yankeefan, but I have traded with Aschroyer 4 times.  He lives less than 50 miles from me and one of our trades took a month to arrive to me.  It was post marked when he stated and again must have just sat somewhere for a month.

There are some traders to be weary of, and Admin is putting a new system in place for that, but I would suggest patience, especially when dealing with traders who have long positive track records.

I’ve had some slow delivery problems too…one was delivered to the wrong address and a neighbor finally brought it to the intended person/address. Another with tracking that went MIA for several weeks and then finally showed up, but the tracking never was updated…glad he was honest. I’ve also traded with Aschroyer several times and haven’t had any issues. 
 

I did speak with my postal delivery guy (of some time) and he stated that mail, regardless of where it’s going, all goes to a sorting facility and then gets routed. So you may be sending a package within your own city, but it may be shipped to another city to be sorted before being router back to your city for delivery. For example…all mail in Wichita goes to Kansas City, then sent back to Wichita for delivery. Sounds like a lot of unnecessary work, but this could be why we are seeing slower delivery at times. 
 

Id give them more time personally, as there is nothing more fun than someone saying they haven’t received their end of the trade. You feel helpless, frustrated and in the end all of mine have eventually shown up. Only once was one returned to me and I’m not sure why as the postage was correct and the address was too.

i have had items take a month to arrive to me, and to my trade partners, so 2 or 3 weeks is not a real big worry at least to me.

the usps has a 99% success rate, which sounds great, but it means 1% winds up somewhere else...

i recently got an ebay envelope that was sent over a year ago that finally arrived to me, usps is imperfect, and we need to understand that.

if something is supposed to be sent to me and never arrives i dont blame the sender, they did their part, eventually most everything winds up where its supposed to be

Longest I waited was 8 months. I never asked for replacements though they were offered a couple of times. I also had the other end wait several months. In all instances, patience was exercised at both ends. I strongly suggest a lot more patience at your end in both of these transactions (and a public apology when you get the cards).

I've never blocked someone on here till now...wow. 

bobberkill is a class act as many who've dealt with him will probably attest.

Waiting 17 days on a PWE (assuming it was sent that way) is a bit impatient on your part. Even if it does fall in that 1% of problematic delayed deliveries (or non-deliveries) I'd wait a few weeks before casting judgment. Waiting almost a month? That's pushing it, but like a few others, it's taken longer for a few of mine to be received on both ends of a trade.

I do recall one trade in particular where my partner within our great state didn't receive his for over a month, and when he did he implied that I'd not sent when I claimed due to the postmark. That wasn't true, but how can one argue against when the evidence points that way. I was just happy that he received his cards because I didn't have exact replacements if needed.

Overall I believe you're jumping the gun a bit.

Not sure which world you're living in these days, but there are still many companies (large and small) that are having trouble with hourly employees not showing up, not being dependable, and just not doing their job when they actually do show up. The USPS is one of those companies. Plus, as another member stated, their "new" methods of everything going to somewhat localized sorting centers can be very counterintuitive. We had something that needed to wind up in PO Box in a town about 15-20 miles away. My wife took it to THAT PO so it could simply be placed in the PO Box there - the clerk said that they don't do that. Even mail being delivered to the same bulding it's received in has to go out to sorting. (The clerk did make an exception for this one after my wife paid for more than a single stamp to "get it there".) But if it only had a stamp on it, off 90 miles it would have gone, only to return a couple days days later.

I think we all could tell our anecdotes about mail that took longer than expected.

Patience. It's only trading cards.

Regardless of the details, public shaming is not going to encourage future trade offers.
