I was thinking about a transaction to Canada and wondering if I used a 9” x 12” rigid mailer like the ones I have used mailing photos. If so and declare it of no value would there be a problem with the Canadian Postal Service?

Has anyone done this before?

Thoughts anyone?

Mine have reached their destination. 

"declare it of no value"?  Letter mail does not require customs forms or declarations. I use large envelopes and two sheets of cardstock. And if you can find a kiosk...USE IT. Avoid the ill-informed postal clerks.

Even in Canada too many postal clerks have been schooled by me the past 35 years on NO tax when shipping out of country over $5.00

For shipping to Canada always declare $20 or less (if you have to declare anything) on the customs form. No duty tax for the receiver that way, regardless of actual cost of item(s).
