Having done many of these, I would sort by company, brand, and then year, set, #. As I emptied boxes, I used those to put the cards already sorted by company into its own box so that the piles on the table did not get overwhelming. Once they were all sorted into company boxes, I attacked the one that had the fewest boxes and sorted by brand.
I have done as big or even bigger lots and it probably took me less than 2-3 months to get them sorted and logged into the site.
One thing I strongly recommend, don't enter anything into the site till you have ALL the cards of that set sorted. Guaranteed, if you do partial sets to "change things up", you will probably haver to start over or you will have duplicate entries.
