Congrats Dan AND all other Eagles fans! It was a great game. I'm glad they finally won one.
I do wish NBC announcers knew the rules better though. It was really annoying how many times they debated the Ertz TD. That was clearly a touchdown in any way/shape/form of the rules. I don't see why they keep questioning it. Even in postgame, they call it questionable. There is no question if you know the rules. Nothing but feet touched the ground before crossing the line and the ground can't cause a fumble. Even then, he caught the ball before it hit the ground again. What's the question?
Eagles won fair and square and I don't see any issues with ANYTHING called during the game. Besides the helmet-to-helmet contact against Brandin Cook in the 2nd quarter! There should have been a flag there, but it probably wouldn't have changed the game. Overall, great game, great commercials, but the half-time show was pretty blah! It's obvious that there was a ton of thought and talent put into the production. It was extravagant, but it wasn't spectacular! Even the Prince tribute was pretty lame in my opinion. I still think the Prince performance is the best half-time show I have ever seen since I started watching the game in 1990. I'm not really a fan of Prince but that show he did was awesome! Timberlake wouldn't even crack the Top-10.

When it comes to NFL announcers, NBC's Cris Collinsworth has to be the worst. He always seems to pick a team and will boast about that team almost the entire game. He also makes judgements on plays based on his own opinion, there was no question that Ertz was a runner by the time he was diving for the goal line but he just kept saying over and over he juggled the ball and it should have been overturned. Ertz's hand was under the ball when it bounced up and he caught it when he rolled over so the ball never touched the ground so even if he was still a receiver it was a clear completion but by that point Collinsworth had his Patriot's goggles on and there was no shutting his mouth off.

Wow. I don't watch the NFL anymore, but I thought I heard that the Eagles were doomed because their QB got injured in the middle of the season. I'm sure they will eventually write an "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" episode that involves this game.

In sports action...That was a great game to watch!

Nothing has been clear in the NFL since the Calvin Johnson no catch ruling.

Collinsworth has to be the worst person on the entire NBC Sports roster. Kyle Petty is a close second though. Both are highly locked into their opinion without thinking about the rules. I was so glad when NBCSN bumped Petty from the announcer booth for NASCAR races last year. I really thought I was done having to hear him cough his way through races when TNT lost the 6 races they used to air. But then NBC brought him in as an analyst when they got the last half of the season. At least he isn't on air for most of each race though.
Back to the Super Bowl, there wasn't even a question about Ertz being a runner or receiver. He broke the plane before the ball OR any part of his body touched the ground. It was a touchdown. Then there's the rule that the ground can't cause a fumble. THEN he caught the "fumble" before the ball touched anything else. There is no question in the rulebook that even slightly suggests that it wasn't a touchdown. Collinsworth continues to say that was a controversial call when it couldn't possibly be clearer. The previous TD was a bit hazy, but still needed to go with what was called on the field.
Now I have to sit through another lacklauster weekend of sports (like last weekend) to get to the Daytona 500 race. C'mon NASCAR season!
