Thats a great point for you HUGE collection peeps. Similiar to Comc or something , someway for you to categorize via a location attribute or a product ID # field.

Exactly!
As long as the location info could show up when i print out to pull, we'd love nothing more because i would gladly ditch "the shopify store"
But the cards come in often and there are many 5k counts with 4k different within a box so organizing by years and brands would take insanely long on the back end, it's true what Vroom says it doesnt take long to enter especially without the need to add many images as they are mostly here along with their identity.

I use the comment field to record the physical location of cards in my collections. For my use adding things one at a time works but I could see where if another way to accommodate a large collection to record locations quickly would be very useful.

My problem is I have 5000 ct boxes (5 each) and 3500 ct, 2500 ct that are not organized. the time it takes to put in set order when it is a hodge podge of different sets. Would like to add as trade bait but overwhelming.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

I find going by the name is awesome and filtering by number, but that's exactly where we are at, like you many of the boxes contain an insane variety, i think 1 of the hockey boxes downstairs would put a huge dent in your project lol.
Like Gunny says and we do that too, is adding a location in the comments field but i need that to show up once a proposal is made rather than clicking back on every single card , just to see where they are at.

I am working through my PC of Cubs and it's taking forever, more due to my completely unorganized boxes full of cards, not the site's fault. It would probably go more quickly if I organized and then entered them all, but I have no space to actually work through a full-on organizing event when I have over 30,000 Cubs cards alone, and that doesn't count what I have in binders, which is 7 full so far. At least 2 of them are just Kerry Wood so that makes some of them easier. Heh. But I am determined to get through it all eventually.

Organization was key. Thankfully, my inventory was mostly in-line with TCDB. I have had 5K-count boxes completely mixed in the past. Sorting them is crucial to being able to add them here efficiently. I would be willing to bet that sorting 3 monsters fully, then entering them would take far less time than entering the cards one-by-one using whatever other methods.

We do have more options for adding cards to a collection which is very cool. I buy collections occasionally and have to spend some time organizing them by brand and year before I can enter them.
For the multiple locations problem, I admit to still having to use Beckett Organize for that. I can add cards to multiple collections (tags) and easily see where I have something. Can move or tag 1 or 500 cards at a time. I know we have tags and comments here, but adding that one card at a time for over 100K cards is just not happening. I still need both to manage my ever-changing collection. My FST boxes are organized by the order on TCDB so that makes pulling trades easy.
