The 2018 Donruss Next insert popped up in the completed galleries a few moments ago. Someone had marked them all no team. Not only is that incorrect, it makes more work for me in that I have to fix them, having to undo the mistake before doing it correctly...but even worse, it means they wouldn't show up as missing teams so that the system is tricked into thinking these do not need work, when that is flat out wrong. 

If you don't know what the team is, leave it blank and somebody (probably me or Spaz) will eventually find it and enter the proper team. 

I've already fussed at the person who originally added the 2018 Donruss Racing CL's without adding teams (he was a hockey guy just copying Panini's site). I doubt the same person was the problem here though. That person didn't add teams at all, even No Team. Still annoying that people just do what they think is helping when they really don't know what they are doing in the first place!

I'll say right now to anyone reading this thread, do not add ANY CL's for the upcoming 2018 Victory Lane release. I have already ordered boxes of that product and I will make sure everything is complete and accurate before I load the CL's. All teams will be added, as well as all actual card numbers, SNs and other notes.

I did that when adding the images. No team name is on the card, so no team should be listed, or is that wrong?

Yes, that is wrong. Most NASCAR cards have not bothered to list the teams. Panini is the first to do it regularly but only on base cards and not even all of them. It's part of the constant denigration we NASCAR fans have to put up with from the stick and ball sports people. 

When no team is on a "stick and ball" sport card, then the uniform shown is used to determine a team.  For Racing cards I think the same applies.  No team on the card then the racing car, racing suit, racing series subject would be used to help determine the racing team.

Billy, am I confused in your wording or are you confused on teams being listed? Panini doesn't list teams on about half their cards. They list teams in the CL's they post on their website, but not neccessarily the cards themselves. Occassionally, they mention a team name in the words on the back of the card too.

Press Pass almost always listed the team name on the cards. Whether it was the team logo or just a listing in the copyright lines, PP usually had teams listed. I just opened a box of 2009 Press Pass Showcase cards Thursday and every card has a team name listed somewhere on them. I also opened a box of 2016 Panini Certified and it's a complete mix of no team name and a team name.

I didn't collect a whole lot of late Press Pass stuff. Im not as familiar with it. I have one card from 09 Showcase that I got just to have the set in my collection. Copyright lines don't always help. The Penske teams still list Penske Racing South even though the team name has not been that since 2008. 

Yes, there are exceptions that do have teams...but there are more that don't than do. There's no confusion on my part. There's an unfamiliarity with showcase but no confusion.
