I love this site because it allows me to do something I have never been accused of my entire life. That is being organized. I can now quickly search and find what cards I have (although I have a very long way to go), at some point I shall be entering stuff available fer trades.

I like this site for what we have often heard from members, it rejuvenated the hobby for many of us. If it wasn't for this site, I probably would not be involved in the hobby as much as I used to be now that I have less access to the cards I want (traveling with the military allowed me to buy cards regularly). I had always thought that a "club" of true collectors that would trade amongst themselves so as to complete their want lists would be a good thing. This site has established that very idea but in much grander scale than I could have imagined. Being able to trade duplicates for cards I need including that source of those harder to find commons (LCS when they existed did not even bother with them except for the odd exception).
I also like this site for the ideas others present in their own collecting and organizing world of cards. I too deleted my baseball collection once to start all over again (no small task) but having learned the ins and outs of this site (I am still learning), has allowed me to organize my physical collection even better than before. The ability to have a card identified almost 100% of the time by more knowledgeable members is also a great asset.
Members contribute as much as they want to, where they want to, and when they want to. But other than the "hammer", this site truly belongs to the true collectors, the members!

My thoughts exactly. I love being able to easily catalog my entire collection. The site appeals to my organized nature, so I enjoy people wanting it to be accurate and remain that way.

Yeah, the "organization factor" on TCDB is huge. I've only been a member for a few months, but I already know a lot more about my collection, what I want to keep, and what I want to trade than I ever have. And I've already made trades with some really great fellow members!

Great replies, all seem to be earnest in their own way. It's nice to see members truly evolving with the site. For those evolving, I'm right there with them, looking, reading and following the changes.
The love/hate aspect could "pop-up" at any time. You have an idea, or you want to list something or you are tired of some of "our cry babies". BEEN THERE ! But it's not worth the aggravation, and as Mark said, some members do get "raked over the coals" for seemingly nothing. It's like our way or the highway mentality. But it's not my show, so I have and would reccommend sitting back, relax and enjoy this great site for all the good and any bad.

I love the TCDB period. I want to eventually do trades, but need to figure out what I have before I can build a wantlist. I have thousands and thousands of cards to go through. I have enjoyed connecting with a handful of you and look forward to more dialog. My massive work schedule prevents me from doing more but I do what I can wife permitting. Lol

Same here. Been a long time collector, but organization until recently has been horrible.
TCDB is helping me fix that. Slowly, but that's my problem.....
