Saw a couple on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-02-UD-Ice-9-Peter-Forsberg-Snaggle-Tooth-GRADED-MINT-9-NHL/163609517844?hash=item2617e31f14:g:5hQAAOSwa7RcbW0F
Looks like the seller has quite a few graded by fly-by-night companies.
I also find it interesting that the lesser known companies hand out GEM MINT 10 like candy at Halloween.

Agreed on shortening the list and could see combining BGS/BVG as Beckett, but BCCG uses an entirely different grading scale. Early SCD and GAI are some others I would consider more reputable than others on the list, but they're few and far between and could fall under 'Other' easily.
ETA: I'm looking for a card in a Snaggletooth holder just because I think it's the funniest of the fly-by-nights.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Billy, would you give all diamond cut cards a 10?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Serious question...does anyone grade the slabs? My boss has a gem mint Buster Posey RC from some shiny Bowman set, but the slab is so scratched up, the card is hard to see. Is there a slab-grading company? I know the question seems preposterous, but in the current sad state of the hobby, I think it's a legitimate question.

Go to the page you want, in this case, click on the drop down menu. When that is displaying the info that you want, press the '"print screen" button on your keyboard. That saves a screen capture. Go to your paint program and paste the image. Save it, then crop off what you don't need. Save that as a secondary file in case you want to change something. It's always best to keep the original until no longer needed.

Most of the grading companies, if still around, offer a 're-slabbing' service for $8 to $10 if it was their original slab...
Maybe a slab gradding service can be added to Billy's CHUMP service ;)

I'm not a hoarder, it's a "collection".... Joseph

I have a 2001 ETOPPS Ichiro graded by "Champs". I still to this day have never seen anything else graded by this company. Must have been somebody's brother in law in the basement.
