As we have seen another insurgence of new members. We may need a new feature that summary of the database. I will be doing a new feature request of this post that most would call a Sticky. The 1st post that is on the forum page and is locked for reading only and does NOT move down. It would have the follow information on it Maybe L8 could be able to change it from time to time with approval from Admin. If issues are found. We do have 2 new features in the works a Tour and completing the user manual. This would be a little extra. In a place where quests may look a quick ideal about the site. If done it need to be short but enough information for people to want to look at the site closer.
Feel free to add or reword it so it is better understood.
- This is a crowd-sourced database site. Any member is able to contribute information (sets, checklists, scans, etc.) that helps improve the quality and content of the site. This is a voluntary act an no member is require to assist. However, if you do choose to contribute you are just as responsible for getting the information as the next member. If you see a something is missing or wrong, research it, determine what is correct, and if you need help, we're here for you for that.
- Please review all areas so you understand the system (so you can find things before asking). Yes, it will take time, but it will be worth it. There is a lot of information to work with, even the veterans of this site can get turned around. Checking out all areas will go a long ways for you to get the most out of this site and help it to grow.
- We are trying to make this a site for all collectors and it is set up to try and accommodate as many people as possible. Understand, it's impossible to accommodate everyone and their individual collecting styles. While all ideas for improvements are great, Please do not get mad or take it personally if your ideas are not accepted. Be kind.
- The FAQ section will answer most questions on how to navigate the site. Please use it. You'll find sections like how to find a card by number or how things are listed
- Ask questions in the forums. If the FAQ can't answer your question, There are a lot of knowledgeable members who can help. No question is dumb, but look and see if you can find it yourself first.
– Only request changes in the Inaccuracy Report (IR) links not in the forums. Please do not use the inaccuracy link to ask questions. There are only a few members that resolve the IRs. Check to see if an IR has been requested to handle your issue before you submit an IR. Please be specific on what needs to be done. Provide evidence when possible.
– Checklists have been a big issue. Again understand the system and ask questions. When we add checklists the intent is for them to be complete, not single cards here and there. The process of adding a complete checklist to the site is relatively straightforward, especially after you learn the system. . Yes, the research and formatting of the checklist can take a while. Do the work up front so the few members do not have to do it again. The effort needed to add cards here and there can take hours for a 100 or so. This is why "building" checklists on the site is not the standard practice.
- There is only one Admin. That's his username. This is his site. He is busy behind the scene. You can contact him by clicking on the “Contact Us”. Most of the times we can take care of things but there are thing he can only do. Please understand that Admin has final say on all things on this site to include what can be listed and how items are formatted.
– If you want to help you will need to check out the Permissions section. Different levels of Permissions allows a member to do different things. Implied is that the higher your permission level the more responsibility you are taking to make this site accurate.
– We all make mistakes, even the most seasoned members, so do not take it personally when you are corrected. However, a willingness to learn and understand goes a long way.
– We do have a For Sale/Trade (FS/T) area with a Transaction Manager with a matching system. If you want to trade through this site it is best to have you’re want list and FS/T list added.
- This information is not to silence new members, but to give you the tools you need if you are willing to tackle these challenges so this site is the very best. We all accommodate members whether they just want to use it to track their collection or trade/sale.
- Again, please understand that we only have a few members doing most of the work. Please be patient if your request or question is not immediately handled.
- Yes we do have a pricing area.
- Lot of these area have be posted about so feel free to look through all the postings.
WELCOME ALL!
