I joined this friendly group of collectors in October of last year and have officially completed 14 trades with six pending either my trade partners clicking "Transaction Completed" or one of us awaiting receipt of our cards. As of today one of my offers was accepted putting me at 20 deals!
I'm not a set-builder, Olerud363, but a player collector - Bagwell, Biggio, Olajuwon, Drexler, Aikman, Emmitt, among several others - and I've more than doubled my collection in all those trades. In addition I've been able to start individual collections of others I was on the fence with like Marino, Montana, Shaq, Kobe, Bonds, and Rickey Henderson.
What I've noticed about the group is the spirit of collecting that transcends our own collections. Guys who you would have thought have no interest in a measley collection of commons and latter-year stars have come through with exclusive offers that include RCs I'd have never thought would be included. I hesitate to name them because even though I believe it's a common quality they exhibit, I don't want to establish that as an expectation. There are about a third of who I've dealt with that have been overly generous. I really have no business being in their collection league, but they've included me with open arms in deals. Some have been straight card-for-card in quantity regardless of the value assigned to a card - and I mean that literally - and some who wish to balance a deal on total valuation. Both are fine, and most guys will work out a deal.
Welcome to the group. I've not heard of Zistle, but it doesn't matter. When you find a home, you want to stay there. This is home to me.

By the way, I'm fair and balanced in my trading, somewhat, anyway. A third of my deals are with our dear friends from the beautiful country of Canada, a third with Maryland residents, and a third swath from the rest of the country.

As a Canadian I say thank you for being so kind. We are a friendly bunch up this way, and will always pay a compliment witth happiness and respect. Not sure where you hang your hat down South but you certainly just earned my respect. =D
I just watched a REALLY good Flames / Fort McMurray peice for HDIC on tv and MAY be feeling a little off as being an Oilers fan to say Flames and good in the same sentence is a little disturbing!! LOL Must be that is it HDIC that's got me feeling so good. Hahaha.

My trades have not been large, or numerous, but they've always been fair and it's always been with the best of the best people on the planet.

My wife and I enjoyed a cruise off the western coast of Canada about three years ago and fell in love with Victoria. We're from the Houston, Texas area so we're not so used to the weather, much less the terrain down this part of our state, as what you guys experience. But, it sure was great in the summer. Maybe one day we'll mosey on up toward the Toronto area and catch a baseball game and enjoy a summer outside for once.

Well for me I live in Texas North (sorta) .......... smack dab in the center of the praries, nothing but wheat, and cows and oil. And that aint a word of a lie. Look up Lloydminster, SK/AB and see what you get LOL. Yes the BC coast is absolutely beautiful, I was in awe when I spent time on the Island. Breathtaking and humbling, Tofino was my favorite, knowing that next peice of land from there is Japan. Never been any further east than Winnipeg for the Grey Cup (CFL Championship). We want to go down east too but the cost is just too high, cheaper for us to travel to Jamica for a week than the east coast of my own country. =(

Wow. Looks like a nice group of traders here! Such love for us Canadians too! :-)
I'm now leaning towards taking the plunge and switching my collection catalogue to here. I had already entered 30,000 of my cards in the other site and completed 90 trades, but last year the site was taken over by Beckett.com after a long legal battle. Now it's a rudderless ship with no admins, and members are leaving left and right, mostly for this site.
It'll take a while to enter enough cards to stimulate some trading though. And I'm still learning my way around.

You may be surprised how fast the trade offers roll in. One of the features we have is a notification for when something gets added to a trade list you get a notification, earlier this month I put some stuff on my tradelist for the first time since 2014, and the next time I logged in I had a trade request waiting for me for some of the cards...and a whole bunch of other ones I put in a long time ago. (I'm so far behind in posting my stuff, because I enjoy the scanning process much more and spend my time with that instead). Welcome to the site!
(one of these days I have to learn how to use the system I mention, if for no other reason than to be able to explain it better, LOL!)

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I'm still fairly new here myself, and like you, I also came over to this site from Zistle (same user name). At first, I wasn't to crazy about moving my collection to this site and did'nt really like it at first. Now that I've figured out how to navigate this site somewhat (still learning), I've come to appreciate it and enjoy it. I'm moving my entire collection here. I've already made a couple solid trades on this site and have had other members reach out to me on possible future trades. Not to mention, the forums are alot more active here and it seems there are always more seasoned collectors willing to lend a helping hand when needed. I've found a home here for myself and my collection. My advice to you is to take the plunge over to this site. It's a solid place IMO.
Hope this helps.

It took me almost two years to start trading, and just in the past two weeks I've completed six trades. I'm completely hooked. The wantlist is very easy to update.
