Picked this up at a garage sale a few weeks ago. Filtered by card number on here and only saw unstamped versions of the same card. Is there a subset of these cards? Any other info would be appreciated.
Thank you.

That stamp is the equivalent of me scrawling 1/1 on the face of a 1987 Topps baseball card.

Yep. Some party unrelated to Topps customizes cards with this seal in the aftermarket for resale. Most collectors would say it reduces value, rather than adds value, because it's the regular card, not a card that Topps legit only printed one copy of.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Sad but true, I overpaid for a Bill Ranford one and it sadly sits there like a three haired wart in my collection. UGH.

Thanks to all who responded. Luckily for me it was one of about a 1000 cards I picked up, so not a huge loss. I will hold on to it in my collection as a reminder about scammers, or maybe burn it, not sure yet. :)
Thanks again for the info.

The placement of the diamond on the Cris Carter card in Chuck's link looks like he's riding it in the rodeo.

I've seen a few John Olerud's over the years on ebay with this stamp. I don't even catalogue them in my master checklist. There are similiar "1 of 1" stamped cards out there that have the Special Olympics logo on them, if I remember correctly. Not sure of the legitimacy of those.
