I know there was a relatively similar post yesterday, but I wanted to start this one fresh as I think it's different enough .
I picked this up at an antique store last weekend. The box I pulled it from had it listed as a reprint, but I can't find it in the database yet. Depending on how old it is, I can imagine a reprint that has gotten to look like this, but dang if it doesn't looks really real.

What was the box? They do make some reprints look old.

I wish I had better news for you, but the shading around the lines on the back of the card looks wrong. The shading should be individual lines where yours look like they are smudges.

And this is why I have to buy graded cards now, for whatever that’s worth.
Looked pretty real to me. Of course with this valuable of a card, I’d pull out the magnifying glass and probably catch the differences. Or I just wouldn’t believe it could be real.
I still wonder ever so slightly about my Frank Chance...

It was just a cardboard box labeled "reprints", which for some reason were selling for more than actual vintage cards. This was the only one not from the 50s-60s era.
Would've been too good to be true as it is, but I'd still like to ID what it is so I can log it to my collection.

It's not a reprint. It's a COUNTERFEIT. There's no place in this database to log counterfeits.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Really? Never considered that as an option. That kinda sucks.

Reprints say so somewhere on the card. If you look at any of the Fritsch, Renata Galasso, or Dover reprints (as examples), they all have reprint on them somewhere (mostly on the backs). A card that reproduces all of he elements of a pre-existing card with no mention of reprint is fake, conterfieit, or even we can go as far to say an illegal copy. And as C2Cigars mentioned, they are not listable here.
