There's also a little bubbled wrinkle just below the Topps logo on the back that screams water damage to me.

I'm no expert but I almost wonder besides the water if it is fading from the sun? It looks like some well played with cards that I may have left out in the rain a time or two when I was a kid.
You see we would play wiffle ball and set out cards for our lineup. As easily distracted boys I would leave them outside from time to time. Summer sun and rain are hard on cardboard.

WOW! I always thought my 1984 Willie McGee TOPPS was damaged when it was left in my pocket and my mom washed it with my jeans. Now I find out years later it was actually a valuable error card?

However, I will be starting a running forum post series informing & educating Members on ERRs/VARs.

Actually, no, Bob won't be starting a running forum post series. It has been requested that he not do that here, and that his web site would be the ideal place for him to display these non-TCDB-listable printing flaws and ink/color level oddities. These are not errors or variations in the sense that the hobby has come to recognize, and TCDB does not recognize them either. If it was to inform and educate about ERR/VARs as defined here, it would be okay, but this is for those not recognized here. It will not be hosted here after all.
