One of my favorite players of all-time regardless of sport. I just acquired his rookie card after a long search for the right card.

Some of his accomplishments:

1959 National League Rookie of Year

1969 National League Most Valuable Player

1977 National League Comeback Player of the Year

18 grand slams, most in National League history

Six-time All-Star

I loved Stretch. Wasn't a Giants' fan. Hadn't lived there yet. But McCovey transcended team loyalty. Rest in Peace. v3

It is sad when we lose on of the Best of the era that you grew up in... Always loved watching him play.. RIP "Stretch" ------------------------------- Collecting cards for over 50 years..
