I'm celebrating an anniversary of sorts. 10 years ago today I became a cancer survivor. I had a cancerous mass removed that had taken over one of my testicles. In honor of this anniversary, I'm encouraging my fellow males to perform regular health checks. It's easy to do, and can be done in the privacy of the shower. Do yourself a favor and jingle those bells!

Congratulations on becoming a survivor and continuing to celebrate. I, too, was labeled a cancer survivor this past June, but mine was on the other end, aka rear end, but the front end was affected, too. 

Thanks for the advice on how to check ourselves. Now I know what to tell my wife if she ever...well, never mind!

Coughing is for hernia detection. Rolling between the fingers finds abnormalities.

Congrats to the ones who have beaten cancer. Thankfully, it's becoming more common (no card-related pun intended).

As much humor as this thread is picking up, this is actually a very serious topic, and was the reason some men didn't shave in "Movember" - as a reminder for Men's Health topics. As we age (and I know a lot of us are pushing 50, or are already looking back at it), we need to stay on top of any changes we detect in our bodies. I know a lot of people hate going to the doctor, but please don't wait until they cannot help you. Better to go too early that too late. I want you all to stick around for a good long time (and I want to stick around with you all). Take care of yourselves!

Tell you what, Kep75. Six years ago I longed to become a member after the diagnosis, therapy, surgery, and more therapy. and I am thankful to be part of this illustriously non-glamorous club! And, yes, I still have reminders of what I went through as I'm sure you do, but we jest about it because we can!
