I got mine just over 2 years ago. Traded in a lousy Mercury Cougar that I hated.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

That is funny! Before the Malibu, I had a Cougar that I hated. I had a Cougar before that one that I loved though. Both of my Cougar's were late-80's ones. What year was yours, much newer I'm guessing? I liked the look of the newer Cougars when they came out, but heard lots of complaints about them. I hated my '86 one in the mid-2000's, but I loved the '89 LS I had before it.

Really like the Cruze...solid little car. Preferred the pre-2017 models, but the newer ones are nice too. Sadly, GM discontinued them for the US market and shuttered the plant in Lordstown, Ohio that built them...

I'm glad to hear that so many people think this is a solid purchase. I just heard that about the Lordstown plant today from one of my friends from the area. I think I heard about it before but it didn't hold any significance for me at the time. I knew that Chevy discontinued lots of models (Cruze, Impala, Volt, etc.) but other manufacturers are doing the same, esp. in the US. Ford is dropping almost every car they make except the Mustang. I didn't know much about the Cruze until this one showed up and I did some research. I kinda wanted another Malibu, but they made those so much better that they got out of my price range. While I was waiting to see the finance manager to finish my paperwork Saturday, I checked out some of the 2019 Malibu's. They look great, but the price is so much higher than they used to be when new. Seems like GM combined the Impala and Malibu to make the new Malibu's and price them higher. Looks like they'd be worth the price though, but that's WAY higher than I want to commit to for a car.
If money had been no consideration for me, I'd have driven the showroom Corvette home! That thing was beautiful. I've always wanted a Corvette since I was a little kid, so maybe 35 years of my life. That 2019 was the only Corvette on the property. It's a Chevy/Cadillac dealership that's been there at least as long as I've been alive and occupies an entire block. They had half a dozen new Camaro's and I'd like one of those too. I really like how they lined up the used "muscle cars" that they had though. They had a '16 Challenger beside a '16 Mustang beside a '17 Camaro. They were lined up together in the middle of the lot. The 2019 Camaros were in the right corner sitting in front of a bunch of Silverado's.

I tried to get into a Camaro at the New York International Auto Show a couple weeks ago and couldn't figure out how to get inside of it. Really small in there. I got into a Corvette Grand Sport but the windshield frame was right in my line of sight. I could get my head into the Challenger at least. The Ford Ranger felt right to me, unfortunately my health issues prevent me from driving.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I didn't get in any of the other cars on the lot or in the showroom. No need to make me jealous of what I can't really afford or make me less happy with what I actually purchased. The more I drive this car, the more I like it.
I came across one of the dialysis patients at work tonight on my way in and his way out. He asked where my car was. I said right there where I usually park. He had to check it out. He thought it was brand new. He was surprised by my luck with finding it. He said that it makes him want to get a newer one too. His car isn't as old as my Malibu, but he told me that he put the key in the door to unlock it the other day and the key broke off. And then he said that he came out of the grocery store last week to find his rear bumper all tore up. Apparently, someone backed up too close to his car and the trailer hitch caught his bumper and practically pulled it off. He bought that car new, but it's pretty old now. After those 2 issues, I understand him wanting to replace it. I think it's a Nissan. He also has a nice truck, but drives the car for the fuel mileage when he has to do dialysis. He works in the next city west and lives in a town in-between the two, so I understand that.
I emailed the 2 pics in the OP to my Grandma and my Aunt on Sunday. I heard back from them today (well, Monday now). They both wanted to know if I'd be driving it to the Mother's Day lunch we are having Sunday. They wanted to see it themselves. I told them of course I am.
