Congratulations to the Blues!
Very happy for both the team and the city of St. Louis. The only press we usually receive is of a more negative nature. The city has been buzzing for the entire playoffs and I'm sure it will erupt this weekend.
They sold tickets $10? to watch (on the big screen) the away game 7 at the Enterprise Center, the arena where the Blues play, money going to charity. Sold out, over 18,000 tickets in 20 minutes, so the Cardinals opened Busch Stadium also. I heard that there were over 25,000 people there, again, money going to charity.
Way to go Blues!

Congrats to the Blues and I am so happy they did it. If it wasn't my Leafs then who better than a team that lived through expansion when expansion teams were not given a chance to develop quickl. And best of all, the Bruins (and Marchand) lost! Something about Boston teams that make everyone but their own fans hate them with a passion. Defeat looks good on them.

Yes congratulations to the Blues, well done. If I am right they are now the last of the remaining second six to win the Cup.
The Flyers got the first two, the North Stars didn't win in Minny but did win in Dallas, the Kings got a couple and of course the Penguins have 5. Sadly the Seals/Golden Seals/Barons will never get a chance to win it all.
Nice move by Enterprise Center and theCardinals too, love hearing that kinda stuff.

I'm glad that the Post-Dispatch accidentally releasing the Congratulations story on their website ahead of time, complete with parade plans, didn't come back to haunt them!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Congrats to the Blues from a Blackhawks fan. Not a fan of the Blues but I would much rather see a team who has no Championships win a title than a team like Boston who has won a bunch. Now, LETS GO RAPTORS!!!

Actually, the Cleveland Barons were merged with the Minnesota North Stars (now Dallas) in 1978. So, using your North Stars logic, they won a cup.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

That's true Chuck but another way to look at it is the Gund Brothers owned the North Stars after the teams merged. The Gund Brothers then in a deal with the NHL gave up ownership of the North Stars sos they could get a new franchise. A return to the Bay Area witth the San Jose Sharks. San Jose and Minnesota recieved players then in a dispersal draft which kinda undid the whole merger thingee, maybe, well in my mind anyways. All that happened before the Dallas Stars won their Stanley Cup.
